MoIAT Issued Decree Updating ECAS logo and other related conformity marks

The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has issued a decree updating the ECAS logo and related conformity marks.

United Arab Emirates has announced a new law regarding Conformity Logos and Labels, published in its official gazette under Ministerial Decree number 137 of 2024. This publication updates both the ECAS logo and associated Conformity Marks. According to the decree, the new logo and conformity marks must be implemented within 6 months for new products and within 1 year for products already in the market carrying the old logo.

The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) mandates that all regulated products be registered under the ECAS/EQM scheme for successful import into the UAE. Additionally, these regulated products are required to display a relevant conformity mark.
